This is absolutely bonkers, I can't even imagine how long this took. The halo effect is super impressive but I'm really eyeballing the contrast of the texture built into the smoke vs the night sky, it's so much fun to look at.

Rendering is really, really solid, would love to see what happened if you lost the edge in shadow and blended it into the background.

Thanks. I tried that and it looked kinda crap to my taste, so I just changed the transparency of the background.

Love your awareness of foreshortening, killing it on the more cel shaded style and I notice your subtle, informed changes in line color especially near the bottom shoe.
(btw lineart is extremely solid, next time try to add a little more variety in line thickness and I think it could really enhance what you've got going on.)

Keep it up, the rest of your work is fantastic but this one really hit the mark.
